Cuprolite

I am on the road to Chicago. I am having a wonderful road trip with magnificent views of the Grand Canyon. It rained midday, but then there were rainbows and views of the mist rising from the canyon that were absolutely awesome. Yesterday, I drove to my sister's in NM. On the way, I stopped at Meteor Crater where in addition to seeing this massive hole in the ground, I learned about Cuprolite.

This was in the gift store and is a fossil. I was looking at the fossilized fish and was contemplating getting one of the pieces when the ranger came up to me and asked if I enjoyed fossils. I told her yes and then she pointed to the display of cuprolite. Now what exactly is cuprolite, you might ask. Well, it is dinosaur dung. Yes, brothers and sisters, if you thought s**t ain't pretty wait a few million years for it to fossilize. Meat eaters dung is red with specks of white (bone fragments), vegetarians are green with specks of seeds and nuts; all polished and pretty. Does this mean that even dung can be something wonderful??

Using the word cuprolite instead of s**t adds a whole new meaning of what we sometimes have to deal with in life. "I ain't gonna take your cuprolite anymore!" Implying I have taken it so long it seems all fossilized and pretty but s**t is still s**t.

Blessings abound,
Protected Peace
